Work With SOuthside

SOuthside is the fastest-growing and most exciting new media outlet for Hip Hop on the South Coast.

To deal with an increasing demand for new content, we welcome all contributions in sectors from web design and graphics to marketing, advertising, networking and - of course- literature!

If you'd like to contribute to the site and/or any of its social media channels then please, by all means, get in touch.

It's a great way to help bulk out your portfolio, get work you've already produced out in the public eye, or just to play a role in the largest surge of young creatives in urban culture for two decades.

See below for active roles we are currently pursuing to be a permanent or semi-permanent addition to SOuthside's contributors.

Feature Writer Internship

SOuthside is looking for an inspired young writer to produce content for the main site. Though content will be under "SOuthside Magazine", the writer will be credited on every piece of work they produce.

Whether you are a GCSE graduate looking for a summer project to prove your abilities following an exam-less final school year, a college student looking to bulk out your portfolio before university, or a uni student looking for something extra to put on the CV - this role could be perfect.

Reporting to the editor, all your submissions will be proofread  and proof-edited to ensure sound English; though our perfect applicant will have good literacy anyway. Our perfect applicant will have an interest in rap and hip hop music, and will be happy to devote about 2-3 hours per week to creating content on the topic in a voluntary internship for SOuthside Mag.

Your contribution is rewarded with networking and exposure benefits alongside free entry to various live events where we are known to be reporting. While you are free to research your own articles, you will also be set up with topics and interviews with acquainted artists to help you in case you need some ideas to get started.

If you think you're a good match, get in contact and let's start building a cultural powerhouse right away!

Just follow the button below and send us an email with your name, contact details and relative experience.

Alternatively, use our "Contact" tab or email direct to thesouthsidemagazine@gmail.com

There are no other permanent opportunities at the moment, but feel free to get in touch to collaborate or for business enquiries!
